Meetings

Monthly club meetings are held on the evening of the second Thursday of each month throughout the year, from 1900-2100 hours. The formal business meeting is usually followed by a Program of general interest or of particular interest to new hams.

Occasionally there is a Silent Auction of radio gear with proceeds going to the club.

In September through to June, the meetings are held in a facility such as Okanagan College or the Piccadilly Mall Board Room, wherever there is room available for our bookings. An e-mail notice is sent out to members on the Monday preceding the second Thursday, giving the location and some idea of the agenda.

The Club's Annual General Meeting, effective in 2012, will be held on the second Thursday in March..

 At this meeting, the presentation of Annual Reports and the Report of the Nominating Committee take the place of the regular Program.

In the summer, the July meeting and the August meeting are held in members' homes, again on the second Thursday, 1900-2100 hours.

Executive meetings of the club's table officers and other directors are held one week prior to the monthly meeting, that is, on the First Thursday of each month. Unless otherwise indicated in an e-mail message, these meetings are held at Wing's Restaurant in downtown Salmon Arm.  Any other club members are welcome to attend these small meetings with usually 6-10 hams present. We usually order a beverage and for many of us a full meal. These meetings rarely last more than an hour.
